The Company

NWRA is a principal-investigator-owned company; i.e., the same people who carry out the company's scientific research also set the direction and priorities for the company. As a result, NWRA is an ideal home for a long and productive scientific career where the focus is on quality science. Funding for NWRA is provided by the National Science Foundation, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the Air Force Research Lab, the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, the Army Research Lab, the Office of Naval Research, the Department of Energy, the Department of Defense, and more.

Facilities

CoRA is located in the Foothills research park in Boulder adjacent to NCAR's Foothills Lab. CoRA occupies approximately 3,400 square feet of private office space, and its facilities include two conference rooms and kitchens, nearby recreational facilities, and easy access to Boulder open-space trails and views of the front range. Computing facilities at CoRA consist of numerous high performance workstations and servers including several dual and quad processor compute servers and visualization workstations. More than two Terabytes of on-line disk storage are available, as well as several archival storage devices (tape and CD-RW drives).
