Brazil Study of Gravity Wave Seeding:
- This experimental campaign was part of Living with a Star and was held in Brazil during late September through October of 2005. To go to the Brazil campaign page click [here.]
- Profiles comparing TIDI with Rothera MF radar winds have been computed for November 2003. The radar winds were projected along the TIDI viewing angle and averaged over a time window of +/-30 minutes of the overflight time. To view these satellite radar comparisons click [here.]
- Profiles comparing TIDI winds with Kauai MF radar winds and with Maui Meteor Radar winds have been computed for November 2003. The MF radar winds were projected along the TIDI viewing angle and averaged over a time window of +/-30 minutes of the overflight time. The Maui winds are vector values interpolated between the nearest two hourly averages, and then projected along the TIDI viewing angle. To view these satellite radar comparisons click [here.]
Overflights for other sites will be added soon.
Proposals:
- An NSF proposal to put an MF radar at Jicamarca has the tentative title "Mesospheric Dynamics Studies with an MF Radar at Jicamarca. To view a proposal rough draft click [here.]
- An Arecibo observing proposal is being prepared entitled "Arecibo Studies of Gravity Wave Momentum Flux in the MLT region. It can be accessed here in [PDF] or downloaded as an ascii [LaTEX] file.
